Learning activities in teacher education are often based on groupwork, and although discussions and reflections in groups may unfold well and contribute to learning outcomes, developing an individual professional identity can be challenged by the interests of the group. The study adopted comparative research design, one of the qualitative methods. The countries of comparison were Japan, USA, Germany and Australia, which were selected via purposive sampling method. The data were collected from libraries, dissertations, databases, educational sites, books and publications. In the data analysis process, upon describing, interpreting and classifying the information, the curricula were compared and contrasted. The results showed that the most important goals of physical education course included promoting health, growth and development of motor skills, creating an active lifestyle. The most important contents of the physical education course were individual and social skills training, knowledge topics and sports training. Also, physical fitness tests, sports skills tests, written and oral tests and research projects were the most common evaluation methods. The study was designed in the relational survey model. The sample of the research consists of 642 high school students’. In the research, chemistry motivation scale, chemistry laboratory anxiety scale and chemistry laboratory self-efficacy beliefs scale were used as data collection tools. The difference between the chemistry motivation, chemistry laboratory anxiety and chemistry laboratory self-efficacy beliefs sub-dimensions according to class, gender and school type variables was examined by "Multivariate Variance Analysis MANOVA". The data meet the assumptions. As a result of the research, the high school students’ chemistry motivation, chemistry laboratory anxiety and chemistry laboratory self-efficacy beliefs averages are at medium levels. When the changes in the sub-dimensions are examined, it is seen that there was significant difference according to class, school type and class-school type interaction. The problem is that it is necessary to have new educational methods to help Japanese language students become interested in theoretical professional knowledge, create interest in learning, and above all, create opportunities to experience with future jobs so that students can have the right orientation later. The survey was conducted at two universities offering Japanese language training in Ho Chi Minh City. Research results show that this method is gradually being applied to training programs at the above schools, but it still does not bring the spirit of an experiential class due to difficulties in choosing content and form of training appropriate to the situation. Within the scope of the study, two separate scales were developed for vocational and common courses in Vocational High Schools. Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) for scale validity was carried out with the first study group and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) was carried out for the factor structure obtained from EFA with the second study group. The results obtained are reported separately for both scales.</p> <p>For both scales, three factors were obtained as a result of EFA in the first study group. The variance ratio explained by the three factors indicates that the both scales are suitable in terms of construct validity. For MLÖDÖ-AD, Cronbach's Alpha coefficient for "Claim for Autonomy" factor was 0.95, for "Finding Excuses” was 0.93, for "Avoidance" was 0.93, and for the whole scale the reliability coefficient was 0.97. For MLÖDÖ-OD Cronbach Alpha coefficient for the "Claim for Autonomy" was 0.94, for the “Finding Excuses" was 0.96, for "Avoidance" was 0.95, and the reliability coefficient obtained for the whole scale was 0.98. These results are proof that the reliabilities of both scales are high. When the fit index values ​​for both scales obtained from CFA based on the data of the second study group are examined, it was seen that the three-factor student resistance scale for vocational and common courses has a valid and reliable structure. A recent study was conducted to investigate the undergraduate’s perception of areas of psychology. This research used the Vietnamese version of the Scale of Interests by Areas of Psychology (EIAPsi), including ten subscales to survey 252 psychology students (57 males and 195 females) from four universities in Vietnam. The findings showed significant effects of university and major on psychology undergraduate’s perception of areas of psychology. Students majoring in Counseling and Clinical Psychology had more general knowledge about the functions and roles of Clinical and Health Psychology and Neuropsychology than other undergraduates. For this purpose, the study was carried out with 12 students including 3 gifted and 3 non-gifted students at both grade levels. The data of the study were collected with the instruments named “draw scientific imagination” and “explain scientific imagination”. The results of the study revealed that gifted students had higher scientific imagination scores than non-gifted students at both levels, and 8th grade gifted students had more scientific imagination scores than 5th grade gifted students. In all sub-dimensions of scientific imagination, gifted students score more than non-gifted students. Non-gifted 8th grade students have lower scientific creativity scores than 5th grade students. As multiple representations are common in math education, we examined a different representation of the symbol in mathematics education. In a teaching experiment, we investigated whether participants benefit from words instead of standard symbols and whether the different representation affects performance. For the teaching experiment, students were divided into two groups: the "word" group, and the "sign" group. We utilized words instead of the formal symbol in the "word" group and examined student's understanding and mathematics reasoning. Results indicate that the multiple symbolic representations (word instead of sign) are helpful. The study also indicates that some math symbols may mislead students. According to sociocultural perspectives and linguistic approaches, our study illustrates that using words instead of formal symbols improves student's understanding and reasoning and indicates that the use of words can block common errors made by students. Socio-pedagogical support is considered as a system of consistent, comprehensive, socially oriented pedagogical activity of a team of specialists, which provides processes of individualization of the student's personality, creates conditions for his self-determination at the expense of capabilities and abilities, protects student’s rights. The article presents social and pedagogical support method of children with profound visual impairments in the educational and rehabilitation centre. The main components of the methodology of socio-pedagogical child support are determined: experimental, productive, normative, corrective, informational, and its functions within the educational process: diagnostic support, counseling, informational and methodological support, organization and management. The main indicators of social and pedagogical methods’ support efficiency in various spheres of the child socialization are defined: in the sphere of leading activity; of interpersonal relations and communication; of self-awareness. Based on the indicators of the effectiveness of socio-pedagogical support and criteria, three generalized levels of socialization of children with profound visual impairments are identified. A set of socio-pedagogical technologies for organizing the process of students with visual impairments socialization based on the case method has been worked out and tested. The effectiveness of experimental technology introduction was confirmed: the success rate in children's educational activities, the level of integrative skills’ development, the average indicators of social activity and morality were increased. The article investigates the formation of the terms truncation and trimming in Ukrainian derivatology, the influence of the corresponding terms of Russian derivatology on this process was noted. The correlation of the term «truncation» to numerous terms in different periods of development of linguistics was characterized. We paid special attention to those based on the clipping (rejection) of the part of the creative basis, accompanied by phonetic changes and without them, in particular with such as the affix-free (suffix-free) method of creation, rederivation (inverse word formation), zero suffixation, elision, apocope, telescopy, etc. The characteristic features of two terminological units at the present stage of development of Ukrainian derivatology were singled out: truncation as a morphological phenomenon and trimming as an independent way of word formation. It was found that truncation of the creative basis is possible not only during affixation, but also in the absence of any affixes in derived words. We can observe this phenomenon in the creation of complex words of different types. It is called an abbreviation truncation of bases or an abbreviation type of abbreviation, on the basis of which the abbreviation type of word formation was distinguished. Alternatively, we can call it an abbreviation, the essence of which is the formation of the word-abbreviation due to the reduction of words of the corresponding nominative phrase. The sample group consists of 235 female students studying at the FSS. To obtain the data for this study, the ambivalent sexism inventory: Differentiating hostile and benevolent sexism and BEM Gender Role Inventory were used. In the analysis of the data, frequency, correlation Manova, Tukey and post-hoc tests were used. The results revealed that, there was a positive relationship between the negative aspects of sexism and benevolent sexism. These were the subscales of the ambivalent sexism according to the Scandinavian Sense of Sexuality and Sexuality Scores. There was no significant difference found between the masculinity of the sub-dimensions of hostile sexism and gender roles. There was a statistically significant difference between the ambivalent sexism and its sub-dimensions, BCRE and sub-dimension levels according to branch variables of female students in the Faculty of Sports Sciences. The female students in the Department of Coaching were significantly higher than the female students in the Recreation Department. The aim of our study is to analyse the development of information literacy of foreign language teachers in the PRC. The following research methods have been used for this purpose: comparative pedagogical analysis and empirical data analysis. The obtained survey results were processed using qualimetric techniques. The results of the survey allowed determining a need to develop information literacy in Chinese foreign language teachers. For deeper analysis, observation of teachers was conducted during classes, which allowed determining areas of work with them on understanding the component of pedagogical competence as an individual professional element and the value attitude towards information resources. The main conclusions of the study provide for identification of the ways to develop information literacy in Chinese foreign language teachers. At the same time, possibilities of using modern interactive methods for information literacy in Chinese foreign language teachers&nbsp;were identified. The introduction of methodological approaches in the preparation of student youth for the organization of leisure and recreational activities by means of sanative fitness and recreational tourism has significantly affected the overall level of formation of motivational needs, cognitive, creative-activity and evaluative-reflexive components, which has significantly improved compared to students of control groups, who studied according to the traditional system. The selected criteria, indicators, methods and tools for diagnosing the formation of the readiness of future specialists in physical culture and sports for the organization of leisure and recreational activities covered all the characteristics of the studied phenomenon, were interconnected and in their unity reflected the effectiveness of the process of formation of readiness, as well as differentiation by appropriate levels. Implemented methodological approaches have contributed to the quality training of future professionals for the organization of leisure and recreational activities by means of sanative fitness and recreational tourism, especially under pandemic conditions. Panasiuk anastasiia8tytarenko@gmail.com <p>The article contains the results of a study aimed at experimental testing of the effectiveness of the STEAM approach in the development of English language skills in future teachers. Random selection was used for sampling, the sample was subsequently divided into the experimental group (EG — 49 students) and the control group (CG — 54 students). The groups were aligned by randomization. An experimental methodology consisted in the creation of teams in EG, which worked on the development of socially significant projects, communicating in English and developing English language skills during the semester. Classes were held online in ZOOM and BigBlueButton with video recording, which allowed analysing the achievements and pay attention to mistakes for further correction. The skills were diagnosed through expert assessment before and after the experiment in EG and CG in terms of four indicators: listening, reading, speaking, writing. It was found that as a result of the experiment, the share of students with a high level of English language in the experimental group exceeded the same figure in the control group by 8% and, accordingly, with an average level — by 7%. An increase of 11% and 10% in the number of students with high and medium levels of English language skills, respectively, was diagnosed in the experimental group after the experiment. At the same time, the number of students with sufficient and low levels decreased in similar proportions: by 11% and 10%. The obtained results were confirmed by statistical calculations of Pearson’s chi-squared test. The study recorded the problems related to the need to explain students the nature, content and process of this approach, planning and coordination of the timetable and curricula related to the integration of academic subject in more detail. The problem of qualitative creation, development and effective use in the educational process of EER, which determines one of the areas of implementation of the concept of resource-based learning (RBL), is becoming relevant. The authors of the article conducted a profound analysis of one of the tools for creating EER for RBL – Dr.Explain software application. This paper considers user options and the most effective ways for designing electronic educational resources in Dr.Explain program. It appears that Dr.Explain is a software program aimed at generating software documentation (help-files), help systems, on-line user guides and manuals, technical documentation for software and technical systems. Dr.Explain proves itself to be a useful tool for creating CHM help files, ready-to-print documents, e-books, allowing the user to compile hypertext e-learning resources in two formats (PDF and HTML). Regarding the experience of using such EER, we would like to point out that it is advisable to use electronic study-guides in PDF format on tablets and smartphones, and that is to say what students do when downloading it from the Google platform or university official website. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;E-guides in HTML format are easy to use by installing it on desktop computers in classrooms or on student laptops. In general, such EERs (both formats) are easy to install and view, and do not depend on operating system and software. The article analyses the answers of respondents and reveals a number of patterns between the perception of the practice of using GoToMitting and ZOOM by students majoring in philology and students of other majors. The study involved general scientific methods. Survey was chosen as the method of interviewing respondents. Statistics were processed using the average input value method and the Mann-Whitney test. The theoretical background for the questionnaire was the Davis technology acceptance model. The survey was conducted remotely. The results of the study showed an uneven subjective perception of the introduction of distance learning methods by students in both focus groups. However, according to an objective assessment of the level of students’ knowledge, both groups showed high efficiency of the practice of using GoToMitting and ZOOM in learning foreign languages. The article also presents the criteria that students have identified as necessary when learning a foreign language using GoToMitting and ZOOM. In general, the use of this software allowed raising the level of knowledge of a foreign language both among students majoring in philology and among students of other majors.
