The issue of managing urban waste has emerged as a critical public concern, garnering significant attention from governments and public authorities amidst the adoption of sustainable development policies; consequently, the proper and sound management of waste—both economically and environmentally—from the collection stage to its final disposal, recovery, or valorization has become a universal objective pursued by nations, where this process is regarded as one of the key indicators nations employ to assess progress toward sustainable development, particularly in safeguarding public health and maintaining ecological balance .
