Abstract

This paper presents an innovative approach to speed control of DC motors utilizing an isolated DC-DC converter. As DC motors are widely employed in various industrial and automotive applications due to their simplicity and efficiency, effective speed regulation becomes crucial for optimizing performance. The proposed method integrates an isolated DC-DC converter to provide a stable and adjustable output voltage, enabling precise control over the motor speed. The paper discusses the operational principles of the isolated converter, highlighting its advantages in terms of electrical isolation, safety, and improved efficiency compared to traditional control methods. Comprehensive simulation studies are conducted to evaluate the performance of the proposed system under varying load conditions and input voltages, demonstrating its effectiveness in maintaining desired speed levels while minimizing fluctuations.
