Abstract

Due to the Internet of Things' (IoT) fast advancements and the growing reliance on this technology in household and financial applications, it is now essential to consider the security of data transmitted through these IoT applications. This paper suggests a novel encryption technique for critical communications transmitted through Internet of Things applications. Four layers of protection are offered for the private communication (in this example, a picture) by the suggested approach. Applying the Conformal Mapping on the hidden picture represents the first stage. Less Significant Bits (LSB) are used as the concealing technique to conceal the message inside the cover picture at the third level, while the encryption and decryption (RSA) method is used to encode the image that is produced at the second level. The final security step is to use GZIP to compress the stego image. The quality of the final image following steganography was assessed using the peak signal-to-noise (PNSR) metric. The outcomes seem satisfactory and encouraging. As a result, it is proposed that this technique may be used to transmit confidential communications via IoT applications of particular significance.
